Update...it's been awhile!

So a lot has happened since the last entry...We thought we were moving to Belize, everything seemed to be lined up, and it fell through. Someone else with a little more influence in the Guard wanted it so we were booted. I was very upset about it (and am still pretty bitter) but I know things happen for a reason, right? Mike is now on active duty orders, working the Property Books for the 769th here in Baton Rouge. He likes it a lot, so that's good!

The boys are crazy, as usual. Clayton just took his first steps on Sunday. He's still not walking but he's finally starting to step on his own...at 14 months!! I guess if I could ride a hip all day, I wouldn't walk either! His first beach trip is this weekend. I can't wait to see his reaction to it. There is so much going on at the beach for a baby to take in.

Grant can't stop talking about the beach. He is READY! He loves to swim, has no fear of the water whatsoever. Which is scary in itself. He has no problems just jumping right in, going underwater, etc. I really should have gotten him swim lessons this summer but he was playing T-ball so time was something we didn't have much of. He loved that too. Anything that is action-packed, he loves.

I'm ready for the beach too. I am a beach-y type of person so this is one of my favorite things to do! I went to Belize during Easter week to visit Mike and it was WONDERFUL. Everyone was so nice and laid back...we stayed at a great hotel that served local fresh fruits for breakfast and had a private beach on the back side that offered a view of the most beautiful sunsets. I've never seen anything like it. It was truly paradise. Mike asked me if I'd want to go back next year maybe....Are you kidding me??? I was willing to LIVE there and you're asking if I want to visit?

So I'll do another entry with beach pictures next week. They should be pretty funny!
